October 28th, 2013 — 9to5 Seating is proud to announce the opening of a NEW manufacturing facility in Union City, Tennessee. The new facility will be the company’s 3rd manufacturing plant and will showcase the most advanced manufacturing equipment of all 3 factories. The Union City plant will add a new dynamic to the breadth of 9to5’s Vertically Integrated Manufacturing capabilities as well as transition some of our China manufacturing operations back to the States. More than 500 new jobs will be created over the next 5 years as the factory gets into full production.
Production is scheduled to begin in early 2014, at which time the company will also introduce a new division, with its own unique product line, catering specifically to the retail market under the brand name of Made in America (MIA) Seating®.
The Headquarter of 9to5 Seating will remain in Hawthorne, California. The opening of our new facility furthers the organization’s commitment to meet the growing needs of the US market and is yet another example of the ongoing commitment to excellence in the office seating industry.
